On August 27, 2024, Harith Bordbar, a 23-year-old Baloch citizen, was arrested by plainclothes IRGC intelligence agents in the city of Sarakhs, located in Razavi Khorasan province, without a judicial warrant. He was immediately transferred to an IRGC detention center in Mashhad.

Harith Bordbar, son of Nader, is a resident of Qosh Sarbezi, Sarakhs. According to reports, he was arrested without explanation, charge, or any judicial order while walking in the streets of Sarakhs. Despite his family’s efforts to get information on his whereabouts and condition, no information has been provided 12 days after the arrest.

The reason behind Harith’s detention, according to IRGC officials in Mashhad, is linked to his Instagram activities, which were critical of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
