On Friday, September 1, 2024, two Baloch brothers were killed following a direct shooting by the Tactical Unit and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force in the Saghand desert area of Yazd province. The victims were identified as Mohsen Tootazahi, 25 years old, married with one child, and Hamid (Abdulrahman) Tootazahi, 46 years old, married with eight children. Both were sons of Rahmatullah and residents of the village of Chah-Rahman, near Zahedan.
According to reports, the two brothers were caught in an ambush set by the military forces along their route in the Saghand desert. They lost their lives after being struck by multiple bullets during the direct shooting.
It is worth mentioning that on Saturday, September 2, 2024, the Yazd Provincial Police Command reported this incident as a clash with drug traffickers, stating: “In this armed confrontation, two traffickers were killed, and a Toyota vehicle along with a quantity of weapons and ammunition, including Kalashnikovs and a Goryunov machine gun, were seized.”
