According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Friday, August 9, 2024, a fuel carrier lost his life after Minab County’s police commander fired at his vehicle in the village of Jalabi, causing it to overturn.
The identity of the deceased fuel carrier remains unknown at the time of this report.
The report indicates that Minab County police officers directly targeted a Peugeot 405 fuel carrier. Multiple bullets struck the vehicle, leading to a loss of control and its eventual overturn. The driver sustained severe injuries, resulting in a gruesome death with his head and body severely mutilated.
Notably, the annual report for 2023 recorded that at least 321 fuel carriers were killed or injured due to direct shootings by military forces, road accidents, shootings by unknown armed individuals, floods, and fires.
