According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on the morning of Tuesday, July 30, 2024, forces from the Natural Resources Department, accompanied by military personnel, attacked the villages of “Seyedabad” and “Shirzehi” in Zahedan, destroying dozens of homes.
This operation, which began at 4:00 AM and lasted over five hours, involved hundreds of natural resources and military forces using dozens of vehicles and heavy equipment to demolish residential homes. The residents were forcibly removed from their homes before the destruction.
The lands in these villages belong to the residents and are their ancestral properties. The demolition of homes under the pretext of “natural resources” is a blatant violation of human rights and the rights of the residents, as these actions were carried out without legal and humane considerations, resulting in the displacement of many families.
