According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, today, Monday, July 15, 2024, marks the ninth day since the disappearance of “Amir Hamzeh Fouladi,” a 9-year-old Baloch child from the village of Motseng in the mountains of Nikshahr and the Ahuran area. Public efforts to find this child are continuing tirelessly.
Hundreds of people from various parts of Balochistan, including Zahedan, Sarbaz, Chabahar, Iranshahr, Nikshahr, and other areas, have spontaneously formed small groups and, with the help of local residents, have gone to the place where the child went missing and the mountains of the Ahuran area in Nikshahr County. They are actively searching for him.
The weather in the area is also very hot, with temperatures reaching around fifty degrees Celsius, making the search efforts even more difficult for the people. Despite this, many social and civil activists have joined the effort with whatever resources they have. A wave of unity and solidarity has formed in various parts of Balochistan to find Amir Hamzeh, and everyone is trying to help in some way.
One of the concerning issues in this critical situation is the lack of assistance and cooperation from government forces. Despite repeated requests from Amir Hamza’s family and local activists, government forces have not provided sufficient cooperation in the search and rescue due to a lack of necessary resources and equipment. This lack of cooperation has placed the main burden of the search on the shoulders of local people and civil activists, who continue to search with determination despite the harsh and exhausting conditions.
This incident highlights the need for greater attention to the needs and demands of the Baloch people and the importance of immediate and effective support in critical situations.
