According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Sunday, July 14, 2024, two Baloch fuel carriers on a motorcycle were targeted by border forces at the “Ben Sar” checkpoint in the Petkoki border area of the Kalegan region, Saravan county. Without prior warning or a stop signal, the border forces opened fire, resulting in the death of one and the injury of another.
The identity of the deceased fuel carrier is Jamsheed (Jama) Gamshadzahi, approximately 21 years old, married, and father to a young child. The injured fuel carrier is Akram Gamshadzahi, 20 years old, married, both from Saravan.
The incident occurred around 1:00 PM when the border forces ambushed the motorcycle path of the fuel carriers returning home. The driver, Jamsheed, was killed after being struck by multiple bullets, and the other rider, Akram, was injured in the hand and transferred to Razi Hospital in Saravan by the military forces.
The bodies of both the deceased and the injured were taken to the hospital, but the hospital refused to release the body to the family without a confirmation letter from the Kalegan border forces.
