According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, plainclothes anti-narcotics forces deliberately fired at a vehicle carrying members of a Baloch family near the village of “Negur” in Nikshahr County. In this incident, two children and a woman were injured.
The injured individuals are:
- Sadra Raisi, 6 years old
- Hesam Raisi, 10 years old
- Somayeh Raisi, approximately 40 years old
Plainclothes forces fired at the vehicle without prior warning, causing its tire to burst. After the vehicle stopped, the forces fired at the occupants, resulting in the children being injured in the leg and the woman sustaining a head injury.
Following the incident, the forces questioned the occupants about who had fired at them. After the confirmation from the occupants, the injured were transferred to Nikshahr Hospital by ambulance. One of the children was transferred to Kerman province due to the severity of their condition.
With the involvement of the governor and the prosecutor of Nikshahr, one of the military personnel has been temporarily detained.
