Today, Friday, May 31, 2024, Sammi Deen Baloch received the 2024 Front Line Defenders Award from the European Union for Human Rights Defenders in Asia and the Pacific region.

For over ten years, Ms. Sammi has been fighting for justice and equality in support of human rights in East Balochistan. She played a crucial role alongside Mehrang Baloch in the protests over the past year concerning enforced disappearances by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan .

This Baloch woman began her activism after the enforced disappearance of her father by the Pakistani army and has tirelessly worked to raise awareness among Baloch citizens in Balochistan, despite facing significant dangers.
