On Sunday, April 28, 2024, Mansour Naroui, a 36-year-old Baloch prisoner, was executed in Gonbad-e Kavus Prison for murder. Similarly, today, a Baloch prisoner named Din Mohammad Mirkhani was executed in Isfahan Prison for drug-related charges. Both cases highlight ongoing human rights concerns in Iran.
It should be mentioned that in 2023, at least 184 Baloch prisoners were executed in 26 different cities of Iran, with Zahedan prisons having the highest number with 54 and Birjand with 31 cases of the most inhumane executions, among them at least four women were executed.
