According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group(BHRG), today, Tuesday,, April 16, 2024, after being summoned to IRGC Intelligence, the eldest son of Molavi Fazlur Rahman Kohi was arrested and transferred to an unknown location.

The identity of Molavi Fazlur Rahman’s son, Hafiz “Noah Kohi,” a 25-year-old and one of the teachers in Pishamag’s seminary in Rask County, has been disclosed.

It is said that IRGC Intelligence contacted him by phone to summon him. He, along with his relatives, went to this institution this morning and was subsequently arrested by security forces.

Hafiz Noah Kohi, in February 2024, in a video, demanded the release and permission for his father, Molavi Kohi, who is imprisoned in Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad, to contact and meet him, as there has been continued unawareness of his father’s situation and fate.

It is worth mentioning that Molavi Kohi, on October 22, 2023, after meeting with Molavi Abdul Hamid during a trip to Zahedan and returning from the city of Zahedan, was detained at the exit inspection checkpoint of the city by security forces and transferred to Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad. In early January, he was sentenced by the Mashhad Ecclesiastical Court to five years of exile in Shahrekord, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, and is currently being held in the political ward of Vakilabad Prison in Mashhad.
