Two Baloch citizens, including a student, were severely injured as a result of military forces’ gunfire in Dalgan. On Sunday, March 9, 2024, the gunmen from the law enforcement patrols shot directly at a motorcycle, injuring both riders with several bullets. The identities of these two Baloch citizens are Farzad Lotfi (Bameri), 20 years old, a student at Iranshahr Azad University, and Omid Abdollahi, approximately 21 years old, both from Husainabad in the Dalgan district.

According to the report, Farzad and his friend Omid were returning home on their motorcycle after playing football when they were targeted by law enforcement patrol gunfire without warning or prior notice. They were severely injured and transferred to Iranshahr Hospital by civilians. It is said that after the gathering of citizens and their families, the law enforcement officers left the scene and informed them of the formation of a misconduct case against the patrol officers, which is currently under investigation.

Farzad is a student who works as a laborer to pay for his university tuition. On the night of the incident, he had gone to the football field to play, but he ended up being targeted by military forces who are often perceived as undermining the security of citizens. He sustained gunshot wounds to his back and abdomen and is currently in critical condition under special care.
