Moulavi Fazl Rahman Koohi, a prominent Baloch cleric, has been sentenced to five years of exile in Shahr-e Kord in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. He was detained on charges of breaking norms and collaborating with opposition movements, facing a trial in Mashhad’s special clerical court. Despite denial and rejection of these allegations by Koohi’s office, he remains imprisoned in Mashhad’s Vakilabad prison.
