The detention of dozens of children and teenagers in Zahedan by military forces
According to reports by BHRG, on Saturday, September 30, 2023, security and military forces carried out raids in various areas of the city of Zahedan on the anniversary of the bloody Zahedan Friday, arresting a significant number of Baloch children and teenagers.
The identities of some of these Baloch citizens are as follows:
- Mohammad Safrzai, 18 years old, son of Habibullah
- Alireza Shahouzehi, 14 years old
- Allah Nazar Gomshadzehi, 19 years old, son of Ghulam
- Benyamin Mengal, son of Ashraf
- Mohsen Kabdani, son of Amanullah
- Hanif (last name unknown) from Sherabad area
- Ismail Makki, 20 years old
According to reports from the Balochistan Human Rights Group, a significant number of children and teenagers were playing football in the common market area when military forces raided. After their attempt to detain them, the children fled into some houses, but the military forces entered these houses without presenting a judicial order and arrested them.
In this regard, in recent days, many of the detainees have been transferred to the central prison of Zahedan, who were involved in protests and nationwide strikes, further highlighting the gross violation of human rights.
