According to the Balochistan Human Rights Group, the execution of a Baloch prisoner took place today, Thursday 13th July 2023, at Jiroft Prison, as ordered by the authorities.
The identified individual is Rashid Dehmordeh, approximately 50 years old, son of Jomeh, married, and a resident of Dehmordeh village in the district of Dost Mohammad Khan.
Rashid was arrested in Jiroft in 2018 on charges related to drug trafficking and subsequently sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court of this city.
It is important to note that Rashid was recently placed in quarantine at Jiroft Prison on July 4th, 2023. However, on July 5th, he was returned to his cell due to the occasion of Ghadir Khumm.
