According to Balochistan Human Rights Group Maulvi Abdul Hamid has been pressured by intelligence and military institutions to end the protests and critical sermons at the same time as the massive arrest and repression of the people of Zahedan.
It is said that, by pressuring Maulvi Abdul Hamid, the security and military apparatuses have asked him to end the Friday protests in Balochistan and to stop giving critical sermons, which he has not accepted.
According to this report, a large number of military forces have also been stationed in the schools of Zahedan on Friday, and since the morning of January 04th , 2023, they have been moving with SUVs, Samand and Persia with personal license plates.
It should be noted that in the past few days, at least 113 Baloch citizens, including children under 18 years of age, have been arrested by military agencies with shooting and violence in different areas of Zahedan city, and forced confessions of some of them have been recorded and broadcast on television.
